Doing nothing....

  • Sep. 28th, 2006 at 5:51 PM

Okaayyy.... Hello everyone! I decided to post something since I'm just sitting here listening to my lil sis play Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition, in which you get to play as the evil twin Vergil, to the main character Dante. Hmmm... Lots happened since my last post. I got to go to possiblyevil's house and watch her play Okami, which a very pretty eye-candy game, with decent game play, story, and characters. Despite the annoying alien talk that came everytime with dialouge it looks to be an entertaining game. (Rat with giant sword!) It was fun at possiblyevil's house, we go to eat pizza, omelets, hashbrowns, watch Okami, and meet her three pretty kitties. And despite being allergic to cats and become unable to breathe I really liked them. L8r watched Jackass 2, which was funny in morbid sort of disgusting way. I kept asking myself WHY?!OHGODWHY?! and HOW ARE THEY STILL ALIVE AND NOT MENTAL!? But, my sis and Inque seemed to have enjoyed it, so to each their own. By the way, that movie got two thumbs up....

(Feel free to skip this part)
Another anime rant in 3...2...1...

Yay! I got to buy and watch Princess Tutu 2! And it was super cheap! I was glad I just caved in and bought it. (Thanks for the slight push 2 Dusky Rue..)

Princess Tutu is as the name sounds to be a very girly show, but despite that, I really like this one. It's about a duck, who turns into a girl because she wants to be close to this guy aka the Prince, who lost his heart in a battle against a big crow. So, the girl transforms into Princess Tutu, who has the power to find the pieces of his heart and restore it to him. The art and direction is nice in this show, the music is great, and this show was one my inspirations to animate the dancing girl. Sometimes I just felt like breaking into ballet when watching this show myself....

Anyway, some of the things that urked me about this show is the two main male characters... mostly the Prince, who's the girliest thing in this show! He has no will of his own and does whatever the hell anyone tells him to! He'll tell anyone that he loves them when asked, even a weird ant-eater ballerina (and yes there is one in the show). He doesn't know when he's hurt and responds with "I don't know" way too damn much. I have no idea why the main character's so drawn to the guy in the first place! He's so boring and annoying and I just want to shake him to get a frickin backbone. But, well, I have to keep reminding myself he has no heart. Now, his roomate kinda frightens me, because he kinda gives off this.... well, okay, there's subtle way to put this, but I can't help but get like this controlling man-rapist vibe about him, especially in his relationship with the Prince. And u know me, I don't usually mind a little fangirl yaoi service... but this kinda disturbs me .... alot. But, whatever, I'll just watch the outtakes and extras and laugh it off.

But I really like the main character of the show and the later episodes get really good, so I'm going to keep watching it.

Anime rant end

Okay, some new things I found out today:

- The studio Madhouse (responsbile for Trigun, Hellsing, and Bloodlust) are making a 12 episode anime about Devil May Cry. (Lady was happy about that)

- NOW, one of my favorite manwha (Korean comics) is finally continuing on, so I have to buy that.

- Penguin Revolution, a cute shojo manga is being released. I like the series so yay!

- I have 160 anime volumes, and 302 manga graphic novels.

And that's it, I'll go back to doing nothing now. Later!
